BMS Backup Privacy Policy
This policy describes the S.M.Registration Services BMS Backup integration, not unrelated services on the company website.
Data used and purpose
The integration uses the authorised Google account identity to verify the configured backup owner. It transfers selected BMS document contents and file metadata between the organisation’s SharePoint libraries and a private, app-created Google Drive backup folder. Metadata includes file name, module, record reference, category, version, size and checksums. These are used for backup selection, integrity checks, audit and recovery to the correct BMS record.
Google access and storage
Google access uses the drive.file scope. Worker code restricts access to its own configured private backup folder. It does not browse unrelated Drive files or publish backup files. The authorised account owns the backup folder. Google and Microsoft process stored data under their respective services and account arrangements.
Local protection and access
The designated worker stores its authentication material in a current-Windows-user encrypted local vault outside OneDrive. Local job records support integrity and recovery checks. BMS Admin/Owner controls and protected job lists restrict backup operations. The integration does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Retention and removal
Backup copies remain until an authorised account owner removes them. Revoking the integration’s Google access stops its access; revocation alone does not remove existing backup files. The owner can manage access through the Google account and manage stored copies in Drive. BMS file deletion and recovery remain subject to the applicable Admin/Owner approval process.
